I am one of three directors at The Bureau Centre for the Arts CIC in Blackburn.
The Bureau Centre for the Arts is at the heart of its community. People work here and play here; they take part here, learn here, get creative and inspired here.
The Bureau is an artist led arts and community centre in the heart of Blackburn, providing versatile space for arts activities, theatre, music, cultural events and community participation.
We were based in the oldest standing church building in Blackburn which was sadly hit by a devastating accidental fire in the early hours of 3rd April 2019. We love the building and are heartbroken by the fire and the damage to this Grade 2 listed building which has provided a place for the people of Blackburn to meet for 230 years.
We relocated to the former Thwaites Training and Visitor Centre (formerly Daniels and The Waterloo) in June 2019 and are continuing with our work from our new and very different home.
